Stuff says
A promising first attempt at a touchscreen Symbian smartie, but the iPhone can breathe easy.Really?

Since Nokia's 'Tube' was announced last year, its hype machine had us cradling our hands in anticipation for an iPhone rival. In fact, the 5800 XpressMusic turned out to be a mid-range Series 60 smartphone with limited internal memory a taste for music.

But you needn't be disappointed. Nokia's first touchscreen phone has some clever interface touches, such as a shortcuts menu bar, and a very hi-res 640x360 screen. There are also some pretty impressive specs: HSDPA, 3.2MP camera with dual LED flash, GPS an 8GB memory card in the box, support for flash video and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

You don't need to listen to us drone on about its CV though - watch the XpressMusic 5800 in action in our exclusive hands-on video, and wander round our guided 'unboxed' tour.
