Case-mate Fuel Lite

Ok.Here is good news for iphone users. Are you one of the users?

If you’re an iPhone user, you’re probably more than a little addicted to the device. But that addiction comes at a price: dwindling battery life. And there’s nothing worse than being stuck somewhere (an airport) without access to a plug or laptop to charge your phone (and general entertainment device).

Which is why the Case-mate Fuel Lite is so handy. It’s a compact case with a built-in rechargeable battery that will give an extra bit of juice when you need it most.

Charge the battery up via USB, and when you need it, slip your iPhone into the case and turn it on. On thye back of the case is the power button and indicator lights to show you how much battery is left. As soon as you switch it on, it begins recharging your iPhone.

The manufacturers’ specs say it will boost your iPhone’s battery life by up to 1.5 times. This means you get an extra 100 hours’ standby, up to five extra hours of music playback, 2.5 extra hours of video, and two hours extra of talk time and internet use.

It’s also a bit cheaper than some of the other cases out there – €49 – and it doubles as a protective case for your iPhone too.

LEGO FOR GADGET LOVER.

LEGO's modular NXT robotics line is already a hit with more serious hobbyist, and now the company is taking aim at gadget-loving youngsters with cameras, MP3 players, boomblox and more, made from LEGO bricks. I got to take a look at the colorful camera and MP3 player, both pictured above and below. All LEGO had ready to show is a prototype of each, though, as you can see by the empty MP3 player.

The camera isn't packing all that strong of a punch with a 1.5" LCD screen, 3 MP sensor and 128 MB of internal memory, but that should be more than enough for a kid to play around with. It hooks up to your computer with a USB cord, and has a lithium battery inside. The MP3 player has 2 GB of memory by comparison.

Both are set to come out in the Fall for $50 and $40, respectively, alongside a boombox, alarm clock, walkie-takie, and even a stop-animation video camera.

UPDATE: The gallery has been fixed. Get up close and personal with those bricky gadgets.

Sea Shell 3 USB Hub

Here is a cool USB Flash drive hub which looks and feels like a nautilus shell. The USB 3-Port Hub in a Shell is an amazing 3-port hub, which comes with the romantic look of a shell. You could use this hub to not only connect all your flash drives but also to show off in your office where people might think you are getting more arty and less geekish. The USB 3-Port Hub in a Shell looks and feels like it is made of ceramic. However, in reality it is made of sturdy PE plastic and weighs just 283 grams. In spite of being light and tiny, it does not compromise on the functionality and you would get everything that you would look for in a normal looking flash drive.
The hub is compatible with USB 2.0 and comes with two ports. The first one could be used for USB flash drives and the other could be used for connecting a printer or a scanner. The gadget costs $19.99 and is well worth buying. It looks like geeks are finally going back to nature to look for inspiration. You could try the other interesting USB hubs we have featured in the past like the Chargepod, which is not only a USB hub, but also charges, your gadgets. The USB Mirror Hub is for looks conscious women (and men too).

Portable Safe not Safe?

Wow!A portable safe. The Yelpie portable safe is probably better for keeping people from snooping through your private stuff. It comes with a 90dB eardrum rupturing alarm, which is sure to endear you to all of your co-workers if you use it in the office and it ever does go off.

On second thoughts it is probably better for protecting your secrets from the prying eyes of your significant other; them or your kids. With it being portable, anyone who can handle the 90dB alarm is pretty much free to carry off your little safe to somewhere that they can open it at their convenience.

Make Your Books Burn With a Burning Bookmark

Wow,burning bookmark!I believe many of us use a bookmark, but have you use bookmark like this one?The burning bookmark adds a little bit of hotrod flame to whichever book you happen to be reading at the time. It looks pretty cool, it serves a purpose and at the same time shows that the printed word still lives, for now anyway.

Cool Pencil iPhone stand

He3 whats this? You could use a gadget like the iFlyz to secure your iPhone while watching a video. Or you could just grab some pencils and rubber bands and be more DIY about the whole thing.

That's what Roland Hutchinson did. The editor of Geeky Gadgets wanted to watch Inauguration Day coverage on his iPhone last week while working on his PC, but was having trouble propping the device up at just the right angle.

So he grabbed some pencils and rubber bands and fashioned an iPhone stand. You're not going to see this thing in Apple stores anytime soon, but it looks like it gets the job done.

Hutchinson notes that a four-pencil contraption works well for the 2G iPhone, but 3G iPhones may require two pencils for horizontal support due to the extra thickness, making a total of five pencils.

We have to admire Hutchinson's can-do spirit. And it's nice to see there's still a use for pencils beyond the third grade.

Gadget Holster

Wow,take a look for this.I found this particular gadget accessory this morning, and I was surprised that my source called it “seriously ridiculous”. Granted, I’m not certain that I will buy the e-Volve Gadget Shoulder Holster, but I don’t think it is a valid candidate for Foolish Gadgets.

After all, most people carry so many mobile devices like MP3 Players, cell phones, portable video game consoles, and other wireless devices, that it’s getting so people need some sort of holster to carry them. It reminds me of the Wrist Band Portable Battery, which has all kinds of chargers conveniently on the wrist, making you like Batman if he put all his gadgets on his wrist instead of his belt.

I’m not certain whether the Gadget Shoulder Holster is sending the right message, though. If someone hugs you, they might think you are packing a concealed weapon or something.

Or maybe you want to send a message that you are some big tough guy with this super-cool gadget holster. Unless you are auditioning for Geek Cops, I don’t really see a place for this.

However, if this is your style of mobile tech, feel free to go to the eholster site and shell out about $69.95 for it.

Ermm now we are at the end of 2008.This year has seen furious competition between tech manufacturers, especially in the areas of mobile connectivity. Frankly, people want the net in their pocket, or at least in their backpack. People are starting to care less about the voice telephony aspects of their phones and more about the internet connectivity.

Apple's iPhone really shook the market up when it was released, with a software interface that was unparalleled anywhere in the marketplace. This forced mobile phone makers to stop thinking like engineers and start putting ease-of-use first.

The new iPhone 3G spearheaded mobile web use with the addition of high-speed internet connectivity, making it one of the year's top buys.

Laptop maker ASUS made the stunning discovery that the smaller the laptop, the cheaper it should be, with its very successful $499 Eee PC. This sparked a flurry of innovation (cloning, copying and duplicating) across the industry, with each PC maker bringing out its own cheap, small laptop.

Even if you're not in the market to replace your mobile or laptop, you can now add mobile internet cheaply, at long last. Carriers have dumped their requirements for long contracts of two or three years to get your laptop online via 3G and now offer a swathe of prepaid options. Of course, Telstra Next G is the only choice when it comes to extremely broad coverage and very fast speeds but it is expensive and the prepaid vouchers have short expiry periods. Three's prepaid mobile broadband is a stunningly good deal - on a network that provides good speeds, too.

Granted, any man on the street could have told computer makers that their ultraportable notebooks were way overpriced. But we're glad they reached that conclusion in the end. Dell's Mini 9 is our pick of the year because it has 3G HSDPA mobile broadband built in and you can get it from Vodafone for $0 upfront.

Of course, you're going to need to drive to the shop without getting lost to pick up your smartphone, netbook or mobile broadband dongle and this is where a GPS navigator comes in. Beware if you drive in peak hour though - navigators will often blindly steer you through roads that slow to a crawl. If you have a new TomTom with "IQ routes", though, it'll steer clear of slow-moving roads at all times of day and give you the fastest route to that shopping centre. Finding a parking spot, on the other hand, is entirely up to you.

Smart Charger Strap - USB Charger to Go

While most USB chargers are not exactly bulky, they are not really something that one can carry around easily or comfortably, which is what makes the Smart Charger Strap a very nice idea. It ties on to your mobile device, like any other cell phone strap. When you are near a USB port and need a charge, push the button and slide out the charger.

Darth Vader Desktop Caddy Guards Your Stationery From Office Thievery

The Darth Vader desktop caddy is, on the surface, a standard desktop caddy (albeit one shaped like Vader’s sinister noggin). If you remove something from it, however, he starts some heavy breathing, which ought to be a friendly reminder to any would be office stationery thieves. [Reel Collectibles (NZ) via Nerd Approved]

iPod Cigarette Case - Coming Soon to a High School Backpack Near You

The maker of this clever iPod cigarette case is 22-year-old Tara, who is old enough to smoke and does not hide her habit. The case was built purely for the cool factor and utilized a broken iPod that she had lying in a drawer. I feel absolutely certain that Steve Jobs would not approve. [Tulipsociety via Crave]

so exhousting day is today.Towards the end of a long day in the office, a few colleagues and I will often grab our mobiles and start ‘bluetoothing’ music or funny photos to one another. Unfortunately for those with an iPod, there’s no built-in Bluetooth and no quick sharing files with friends.

irecorder-movies-on-the-go-just-got-portable

Apple seems moving one step forward. With iPods advancing in technology and coming out with enhanced colour, high-res screens, it seems a shame to limit that use to watching the counter tick away as your favourite song plays.yes,Of course you can buy and download video from the Apple iTunes Store, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a wide range of movie choice not be limited to paying content costs determined by Apple? Well with the iRecorder, the sky is the limit with what you upload to your MP3 player.ok,enjoy your latest ipods.:)
